Canadees zoekt B&B in Gent

Een Canadees van Advrider zoekt een bed & breakfast (of iets in dien aard) in Gent.

Is er iemand in de omgeving van Gent die tips kan geven (of eventueel zelf plaats heeft).

Zijn tekst:

Taking my 9-year old daughter and planning to rent a F650GS out of OBERENTFELDEN near Zurich (Friday, Sept 14 pick up), head to Oberriet, CH (southeast of St. Gallen...good, ol' friend and daughter will stay while I go) till Sunday, then burn it to Gent in Belgium (presenting at a conference). Then, it's back to Oberriet probably that Thursday so the two of us can tour about Switzerland for a couple of days. Short trip and not a lot of time but looking forward to the ride! (Chose the 650 because of cost (quite reasonable) and half the cost of the 1200GS.)

So, some ideas on best route (got to get to Gent by no later than Monday morning, get a place...Bed&Breakfast is on my mind (...lest there be a fine rider in those parts who's got a spare cot/bed? for a max of 4 nights ) Suggestions there? Been looking online already, so I've got a pretty good idea of what's there. Conference is at the University, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (Henri Dunantlaan, 9000 Gent).

Et oui, je peux me débrouiller assez bien en français

Suggestions, ideas, all greatly appreciated!

hmm, Zurich Gent op een 650.
Van Gent zelf zijnde moet ik toegeven dat ik nog nooit aan B&B heb gedacht....

zeg hem alvast ook dat hij NIET stopt in Epinal: er is geen zak te beleven.
Spreek uit ervaring van paar maanden geleden.

Vroeger was er boven dat bakkerijtje rechtover het designmuseum een B&B. Niet duur en meer in het historische centrum (100 m van Gravenkasteel en 100 m van graslei) kan echt niet. Als het nodig is informeer ik wel ff of dat nog bestaat, maar denk eigenl van wel.
